The short version: ReFits has no accounts and no login. Your sizes, style preferences and saved fits live on your device. We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app, and we never sell your data.
Who we are
ReFits ("we", "us") is an independent mobile app that assembles outfits from publicly listed secondhand items on eBay. You can reach us at hello@refitsapp.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us. Your sizes, style preferences, budget, saved fits and cart contents. This is stored locally on your device, not on our servers, and is deleted when you delete the app.
Information collected automatically. Anonymous usage and diagnostic data — screens viewed, fits generated, links tapped, crash reports, plus general device information such as model and OS version. This is tied to a random device identifier, not to your name or email.
What we don't collect. We do not ask for or store your name, email address, postal address, payment details or precise location. Purchases happen on eBay, so we never see your payment information.
How we use information
- To generate outfits that match what you searched for
- To measure which features are used, so we can improve the app
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs
- To limit automated abuse of our servers
- To attribute qualifying purchases through the eBay Partner Network
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising profiles.
Search queries and AI processing
When you narrow a search, your filter selections (for example style, size and budget) are sent to our servers, which use them to search eBay and to assemble outfits with the help of a third-party AI provider. These requests contain your search criteria — not your identity. We send only what is needed to build the fit.
Third parties
- eBay — listing data comes from eBay's API, and tapping an item opens eBay, where eBay's own privacy policy applies.
- eBay Partner Network — used to attribute qualifying purchases so we can earn a commission.
- Our AI provider — processes search criteria and listing data to assemble outfits.
- Analytics and hosting providers — process anonymous usage events and serve our backend.
Each of these processes data under its own privacy policy.
Data retention
On-device data (preferences, saved fits) stays until you delete it or remove the app. Server-side logs and anonymous analytics are retained for a limited period for debugging and product analysis, then deleted or aggregated.
Your choices and rights
You can clear your preferences and saved fits in the app, or delete the app to remove all local data. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, or to object to its processing. Children
ReFits is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app develops. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, noted in the app.
